Meet & Greet - Evaluation Process
To ensure the safety of RWC's pack, and assess how we can best serve your dog, we require all potential canine clients to go through our Meet & Greet Evaluation process. The Meet & Greet portion of your appointment is a 30min initial discussion where one of our Trainers will sit down with you and your dog to go over the Evaluation Form we have provided below, learn about your goals for your pet (even if they're just to play and have fun!), the past and current life of your dog, answer any questions you may have, etc. After the initial Meet & Greet, your dog will move on to the Evaluation portion of their day, spending the entire day at the facility with one of our Trainers. Over the course of the day, they will spend time on our doggy treadmills, around other dogs, and with the Handlers and Trainers here at RWC. Your dog’s response to each interaction, stimulus, environment, etc. will be recorded and used to assign your dog’s "color": Green, or Yellow.
What does Green, and Yellow mean at Real World Canine?
A "Green Dog" is a dog that's easy going, friendly & has good manners around other dogs and people, is very social, and has no reactivity issues towards other dogs or people. A "Yellow Dog" is one that may be fearful, shy, nervous, anxious, reactive, or mildly aggressive around other dogs or people, and is more difficult to work with than a Green Dog.
Determining where each dog is behaviorally before full participation in our services allows us to ensure the safety of each pack member and find the right place for your companion at Real World Canine. We provide a safe environment for dogs of all kinds and do not discriminate against, or have any breed, age, or size restrictions. ALL dogs must provide proof of current Bordetella (Kennel Cough), Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Rabies vaccinations.
If you're ready to have a happy, balanced & fulfilled dog, please download and fill out the Evaluation Form and sign the Terms of Service Contract below. Proof of vaccinations and completion of the Evaluation form is mandatory to provide your pup's Evaluation and to participate in all other services going forward (proof of current vaccines must be submitted prior to the Evaluation appointment). Once you've read our Terms of Service and completed your Evaluation Form, the next step to getting started is giving us a call at (775)870-3139 to schedule your appointment!
