Feeling guilty about your dog being alone at home while you work long hours? Do you have a "creative" dog who likes to rearrange your furniture, or re-design your shoes? Give them a place to be, and a job to do at Real World Canine! We offer a full day of structured activities that will not just expend their energy, but also cater to their need to sniff, forage, dig, and problem-solve!

Our most popular offering since we opened, our Structured Day Camp is an organized day of activity, stimulation, learning and down time for dogs who like the company of other dogs and humans. Dogs in our Structured Day Camp can look forward to time on a treadmill or slatmill (or both), swim time (coming Summer 2026), wading pools, rest time in between activities, group play, and learning foundational good manners and energy management.
Dogs will learn how to read other dogs' body language, and learn to adapt and socialize. Parents can add themed enrichment activities to their dog's day. Enrichment activities help dogs fulfil their natural instincts, helping them to become calmer and more fulfilled.
Our Solo Day Camp is for dogs who do not enjoy the company of other dogs as much as they do humans'. They get a structured day of activity very much like the Structured Day Campers, but on an individual basis, working with their handler. They do not get group play time as most of them do not like other dogs very much. Thus, their time is spent largely with humans.
In addition to treadmill/slatmill and swimming/wading time, they will also get two enrichment activites, at least one of which will be one-on-one time with a handler. Solo Daycampers can also add a themed enrichment activity, which is always conducted on a one-on-one basis unless the activity for the day is a social activity.

Custom Day Camp is an offering we developed for dogs who need customized activities, either due to their temperament, personality, or because they have medical or health issues, or who may be with us for a protracted stay and need a special day for themselves. For these dogs, we offer four one-on-one dog-human interactions throughout the day, with rest periods and down time in between.
This is our most customized day camp offering. We can tailor the day to the dog's needs and temperament. Typical activities include: themed enrichments, one-on-one fetch, flirt pole, tug, puzzle solving, various nutritional enrichments, bubble machine, as well as calming activities such as Story-Time with their favorite handler. This is in addition to treadmill/slatmill and swimming (on a solo basis, when the pool is ready in Summer 2026), if the pet's health condition permits such activities. The dog thus enjoys as many as six individual, one-on-one activitis in the course of their day with us.
Pauly's Story as Shared by Owner Vicki Hamm, Feb 10, 2026
"We adopted Pauly from a shelter in CA 6 months ago. "Paul" is a labrador mix, approximately 4 years old, and I was immediately drawn to him. At the shelter they told us he was picked up along with his partner, another labrador and that they called them the "Junkyard dogs." Pauly, they believed had been abandoned and on his own for a long time. He was very insecure. Before coming I had made up my mind that I wanted to adopt an older dog.
We took Pauly home that day. He got along very well with people but not so much with other dogs. When I walked Pauly he would bark at any dog who came near us and would lunge at them. I worked with him every day on this.
Then I came upon Real World Canine. This changed everything for Pauly. He was evaluated and has become socialized with the other dogs at Real World Canine. In the last two months he is a changed dog. Pauly is well adjusted and so happy and so am I. All I have to say is "Pauly you're going to see your friends today," and he jumps up and down with excitement.
Real World Canine is not like other dog boarding places I have used. They do not just take your dogs in and ignore them. They work with them and also have a limit as to how many dogs they have at one time. They also have one on one Enrichment Programs for your pet that are special. Pauly loves going to them. I would highly recommend them."
